Sports-based campaigners for gender equality, LGBT inclusion and male mental health, the Warwick Rowers celebrated the overturning of their Instagram ban by publishing their 10 most iconic images.
The rowers have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for good causes over the past decade by posing in the buff, their dignity preserved by artfully placed oars.
Instagram was accused of taking a stricter line on male than female nudity after suspending the account used by Warwick university rowing club to promote their charity calendars. Earlier this year the rowers accused social media of homophobia and misogyny after the repeated removal of their posts by Facebook and Instagram. Following an international campaign, Instagram relented and have now restored the @warwick_rowers account.
